The Canadian Mental Health Association Ontario (CMHA Ontario)

Founded in 1952, CMHA Ontario is a dedicated partner within the network of Canadian Mental Health Associations. CMHA Ontario is a leader in the evolution of Ontario’s mental health and addictions system by contributing knowledge, resources and skills to provincial policy development and implementation. CMHA Ontario works closely with its 30 local branches in communities across the province to ensure the utilization of best practices in the organization, management and delivery of services to consumers and families of individuals with mental illnesses, dual diagnosis and concurrent disorders. Mental Health Works is a social enterprise of the Canadian Mental Health Association. Mental Health Works is person centred, evidence based, and solutions focused. Children’s Mental Health Ontario (CMHO)

CMHO is the association representing Ontario’s publicly funded Child and Youth Mental Health Centres. School Mental Health ASSIST (SMH ASSIST)

SMH ASSIST is a provincial implementation support team designed to help Ontario school boards promote student mental health and well-being.

SMH ASSIST operates within Open Minds, Healthy Minds: Ontario’s Comprehensive Mental Health and Addictions Strategy, and works with the Ministry of Education to provide school mental health leadership, resources and coaching support. Visit the SMH ASSIST website at
